Heat preservation usually refers to the ability of the enclosure structure (including roofs, exterior walls, doors and windows, etc.) to transfer heat from indoor to outdoor in winter, so that the indoors can maintain a proper temperature. Heat insulation usually refers to the ability of the enclosure structure to isolate the effects of solar radiation and outdoor high temperature in summer, so that its inner surface can maintain an appropriate temperature. The main differences between the two are:
(1) The heat transfer process is different. Heat preservation refers to the heat transfer process in the transmission room in winter. It is usually considered in terms of stable heat transfer and some effects of unstable heat transfer. Heat insulation refers to the heat transfer process in summer, usually in 24 hours. Considering the periodic heat transfer.
(2) Different evaluation indicators. Insulation performance is usually evaluated by the highest temperature value of the inner surface of the enclosure under the outdoor calculated temperature condition in summer (ie, hotter weather). If the highest temperature of the inner surface is lower than or equal to the highest temperature of the inner surface of a 240mm thick brick wall (ie a brick wall) under the same conditions, it is deemed to meet the thermal insulation requirements.
(3) The structural measures are different. Since the thermal insulation performance mainly depends on the heat transfer coefficient or heat transfer resistance value of the enclosure structure, a lightweight enclosure structure composed of porous lightweight insulation materials (such as colored steel plate polystyrene or polyurethane foam sandwich roof panels or wall panels) , heat transfer coefficient is small, heat transfer resistance is large, so its thermal insulation performance is better, but because of its light weight and poor thermal stability, it is easily affected by solar radiation and indoor and outdoor temperature fluctuations, and the internal surface temperature is easy to rise. Therefore, its thermal insulation performance is often poor.
Glass wool products and rock wool products are usually used for heat preservation and heat insulation. For more details, please contact us.
