Fire prevention is very important in the construction process and is an important guarantee for protecting people’s lives and property. So what are the fire-proof materials generally used in construction?
1. Glass wool blanket. Glass wool blanket is a building material that is used in a lot in constructions. Because it is made of molten glass fiber and various adhesives, it has good fire resistance, water resistance, sound absorption, etc. Glass wool blankets are often used on partition walls as inter layers of gypsum boards for thermal insulation. It can also be used on roofs and steel structures, which can not only meet the performance of fire protection, but also have the effect of thermal insulation. Glass wool blankets are generally between 10-30 meters in length and about 1.2 meters in width. Different densities and different thicknesses can determine the length of the blanket.
2. Rock wool board. Fireproof rock wool board is widely used in the construction process. It can be used on exterior walls, and there are special exterior wall insulation boards. Can be used for partition walls, inter layers between gypsum boards, or inter layers for interior walls. It can be used in curtain wall and also in fire barrier. Generally, rock wool boards are mostly used in buildings, and rock wool felts are mostly used in large pipes for thermal insulation. Rock wool board has different qualities according to different places of application. For example, the insulation board of the inner wall cannot be used for the outer wall, because the construction requirements of each place are different.
3. Calcium silicate board. Calcium silicate board is further divided into calcium silicate ceiling and calcium silicate board. The ceiling is covered with different patterns on the basis of board, and its shape is similar to that of PVC gypsum board. Mainly used for indoor ceiling decoration, generally the length and width are 595x595mm or 600x600mm. Calcium silicate board can be used on interior walls or exterior walls. It is fireproof and moisture-proof, has stable chemical properties, is relatively hard material, and is relatively heavy in weight. The general length and width are 1.2×2.4m.
4. Cement board. The production process of cement board and calcium silicate board is relatively similar. Cement board is generally used in the wall without ceiling. Cement board also has good fire resistance, moisture resistance and corrosion resistance. Can be used with different materials.
